Chicago Magazine's "Dish" e-newsletter of March 16, 2006 noted the newest member of our staff: "Where's Eadie?".....Fan's of Mrs. Levy's Delicatessen , the twenty-something Sears Tower lunch spot, are wondering what happened to the restaurant's namesake since its closing in January. Apparently Eadie Levy whose business card carries her official title of "Company Mom," has traded matzo-ball soup for lobster bisque, as she can now be found in the front of the house at Fulton's on the River."
In other news...
Chicago Reader's Kathie Bergquist claimed "The lower-level dining room is spacious, with tables placed well apart from each other, and elegantly understated, with handsome comtemporary decor, dim, lighting, and an adult contemporary sound track. We were planning on sticking to seafood until we saw the impressive platter of U.S. prime steaks, one of Fulton's specialties..." Read the review.
Chicago Scene magazine lauded in its November 2005 issue, "Fulton's is also one of the only restaurants in the country that serves only prime steaks, and the signature USDA Prime Bone in Filet Mignon will give major steakhouses in the city a run for their money. The wine list is extensive, and servers are well skilled at suggesting pairings." Read the whole article.
Chicago Magazine Dining Editor Penny Pollack raved in her October 19 e-newsletter "Dish:" "Rollin’ on the River...An early outing to Fulton’s on the River has Pollack raving about the coriander-crusted seared tuna and rhapsodizing about the thick juicy Colorado lamb chops. But it was the peanut butter pie that sent her into a food coma."
The winter issue of WeddingChannel's WEDDINGBELLS magazine featured The Private Dining Rooms of Fulton's on the River saying, "Couples in search of a waterfront reception site that delivers glam views of the Chicago River have a new option... The seafood and steak restaurant boasts a private dining room with sweeping views of the river that can seat 330 people. Additional private rooms and an outdoor veranda can accomodate smaller groups--think rehearsal dinners and bachelor parties..."
